OF Kris Bryant homered again last night, his fourth home run in his last five games (and fourth of the season).

SNAPSHOT

• The Colorado Rockies play the final game of their seven-game road trip today with the last game of a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks … have gone 2–4 on the trip, suffering a sweep at Dodger Stadium and taking two of three thus far in Arizona.

• Beginning tomorrow, conclude the first half of the season with a seven-game homestand before the All-Star Break … host the San Diego Padres for four games and the Pittsburgh Pirates for three at Coors Field.

• The Rockies are in a stretch of 17-straight games before the All-Star Break that began on July 1 … have gone 6–6 in the stretch thus far.

CARDIAC

• The Rockies won each of the first two games of this series by one run, taking the first game 4–3 and last night’s game 6–5 … are 13–11 in one-run games this season, tied for the fourth-most one-run wins in the National League.

• Have played 13 of their 24 one-run games since June 1, going 6–7 over that span … eight of their 17 road games since June 8 have been decided by one run with the Rockies 3–5.

MORE LIKE IT

• Kris Bryant homered again yesterday, his fourth home run in his last five games (and fourth of the season) … since being reinstated from the injured list on June 27, has hit .341/.383/.682 with three doubles, four home runs, six RBI, three walks and three strikeouts in 11 games.

• Recorded the 17th multi-home run game of his career Friday … also doubled and walked in the game, the third player in franchise history to hit two home runs, double and walk in a road game along with Larry Walker June 24, 2004 at Cleveland and Dante Bichette Sept. 29, 1999 at Arizona.

• Hit his first home run of the season Tuesday at Dodger Stadium, snapping a career-long homerless streak of 143 at-bats.

MONEYPENNY

• The Rockies bullpen has posted a 3.60 ERA (85.9 IP, 34 ER) since June 11, limiting opponents to a .228 average (72-for-316) with 10 home runs allowed.

• Have allowed more than three runs in a game only once over that span, and no times since July 1.

LEATHER

• The Rockies committed their first error since June 24 on Friday, snapping a 12-game errorless stretch that was tied for the second-longest in franchise history behind a 13-game string in 1998.

• Since committing a season-high four miscues on June 21 at Miami, the Rockies have two errors through their last 17 games, the fewest in the Majors … their .997 fielding percentage over that span also leads the Majors.

• The Rockies’ 59 errors on the season are the second-most in MLB behind the Pittsburgh Pirates (62).

SLITHER

• A win today would give the Rockies their first series win in a four-game series at Chase Field in franchise history.

• The Rockies have gone 5–4 against the D-Backs this season, winning two of three last week at Coors Field and dropping two of three at Chase Field in May.

• Since sweeping the D-Backs in three games here Aug. 24–26, 2020, have gone 8–12 over their last 19 games in Phoenix, dropping each of the last five series at Chase Field.

LONG WHITE LINE

• The Rockies have gone 14–27 on the road, a .341 winning percentage that is the worst in the Majors.

• Had their season-high tying two-game winning streak (fourth time) snapped last night … a win today would secure the Rockies’ fourth road series win of the season, their first since taking two of three at San Francisco June 7–9.

GO WEST YOUNG MAN

• The Rockies have gone 6–6 so far in a stretch of 17-straight against NL West opponents … have gone 17–17 vs. the West and 20–31 against all other opponents in 2022.

• Are 14–9 against the West over their last 23 … won seven straight June 11–28, their longest winning streak against the NL West since 2017.

• Became the ninth Rockies player (19th time) to hit at least 20 home runs in the team’s first 81 games, the first since Nolan Arenado in 2016 … first player since Todd Helton in 2001, the seventh overall (10th time), to hit at least 20 home runs, record 65 or more RBI and hit .295 or better through the first half of the season.

• Has reached base in 20-straight games since June 17, the longest active streak in the Majors … is slashing .329/.400/.632 with five doubles, six home runs and 22 RBI over that span.

MILESTONE WATCH

• Shortstop José Iglesias is one his shy of 1,000 hits in his career … would become the 19th Cuba-born player in MLB history to reach 1,000 hits.
