BACK ON TRACK

• After a three-game sweep of the Reds, the Colorado Rockies continue their seven-day, six-game homestand with game one of a three-game set with the Washington Nationals.

• Colorado secured their fifth series win on Saturday and second sweep of the season with Sunday’s victory … snapped a four-game losing streak with their win on Friday night.

• The Rockies are coming off a 2–5 road trip to Detroit (2–1) and Philadelphia (0–4) … the sweep in Philadelphia was the club’s first series loss of 2022.

NATTY LIGHT

• Colorado went 4–2 against Washington in 2021, facing the Nationals six times in September … finished their 2021 home slate by winning two out of three against the Nationals Sept. 27–29.

• All-time record of 119–91 against the organization, going 56–46 against the Montreal Expos and holding a 63–45 record against the Nationals.

• In Denver, the Rockies hold a 60–44 record against the Expos/Nationals with a +32 run differential, averaging 1.5 home runs per game.

ROLL IT

• Colorado has turned 31 total double plays on the season, including 27 ground ball double plays, both the most in the Majors … an average of 1.25 GIDP per nine innings.

• The Rockies turned four total double plays on Friday, their third game this season with at least four twin killings … no other team has multiple games this season turning four double plays, and only three other teams have one game with at least four double plays (Arizona, Baltimore, Oakland).

• The Rockies lead the Majors with 578 double plays and 496 GIDP since 2018 … Kansas City ranks second in doulble plays over that span with 531.

• Colorado’s 16.7 GIDP percentage is the second best in the Majors behind Miami’s 17.0.

• The Rockies’ 15 total errors are tied for the eighth-most in the Majors, the fourth-most in the NL … the Rockies have also allowed 16 unearned runs, 11 coming on the previous road trip, tied for the most in the National League and tied for the third-most in the Majors.

• After committing seven errors in a four-game series in Philadelphia, the Rockies did not commit a error in their three-game sweep of Cincinnati … the longest stretch Colorado has gone in 2022 without committing an error was six games from April 18–24.

• The Rockies defense leads the Majors with 234 assists, an average of 10.86 per game.

• José Iglesias has recorded two four-hit games thus far this season, tied for the most in the Majors with Maikel Franco and Manny Machado … his four-hit games have come from both the eighth spot in the lineup (Weds.) and the ninth spot (April 11), the first player in Rockies history to have a four-hit game in each of those two spots in the lineup.

• The Rockies current three-game winning streak is the longest active streak in the National League and tied for the second-longest active streak in the Majors (Yankees, 10).

• Colorado’s nine home wins are the most in the National League and are tied for second-most in the Majors.

• The Rockies’ four stolen bases are tied for the second-fewest in the Majors and tied for the fewest in the National League … the club’s 50.0% stolen base percentage is the third-lowest in the Majors.

• Rockies reliever Carlos Estévez does not have a strikeout through his first nine outings … is the only pitcher with at least seven innings pitched to not record a strikeout so far this season … Estévez has recorded 9.20 strikeouts per nine innings in his Major League career.

• The Rockies .265 team batting average, .430 slugging percentage and .767 OPS rank first in the Majors while their .337 OBP ranks second.

• Colorado is batting a Major-League leading .287 at home and .233 on the road (12th) … also leading the Majors with a .330 average vs. left-handed pitching while hitting .237 vs. righties.

• The team’s 20.6% strikeout rate is the sixth-best in the Majors.

PENT UP

• The Rockies’ bullpen allowed two earned runs through 26.2 innings through the first six games of the season, helping the Rockies to a 4–2 record out of the gate … the 0.68 ERA through this span led the Majors with the Yankees holding the league’s second-lowest mark with a 1.30 clip.

• Since April 15, the ‘pen has allowed runs in 14 of 16 games, halting a 14-game streak with a scoreless outings each of the past two games … have posted a 6.88 ERA (51.0 IP, 39 ER) with 31 walks and 44 strikeouts.

• Colorado’s 4.75 bullpen ERA (77.2 IP, 41 ER) now ranks tied for last in the Majors (Kansas City).

RHYMES WITH ZONE

• C.J. Cron leads the NL in RBI (21), home runs (eight) and total bases (55) and is tied for first in extra-base hits (14) … also ranks third in slugging (.647) and sixth in OPS (.973).

• Since Aug. 1 of last season, Cron is slashing .320/.384/.644 with 23 doubles, one triple, 33 home runs and 70 RBI in 77 games … over that span, he leads the NL in RBI, ranks second in total bases (181, Bryce Harper with 188), is tied for second in home runs and sixth in hits (90).

• In 39 games at home over that span (since Aug. 1, 2021), Cron is slashing .385/.446/.770 with 15 doubles, 14 home runs and 50 RBI.

MINOR LEAGUE SPOTLIGHT

• Four Rockies Minor Leaguers were named Player of the Week for the span of April 25-May 1.

- Triple-A Albuquerque: OF Wynton Bernard; .391, three doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI.

- Double-A Hartford: SS Ezequiel Tovar; .478, two triples, two home runs, four RBI.

- High-A Spokane: 2B Eddy Diaz; .452, two doubles, a home run, eight RBI.

- Single-A Fresno: SS Adael Amador; .500, two doubles, four home runs, seven RBI.

• RHP Ryan Feltner improved to 3–0 with a 3.20 ERA this afternoon after allowing two runs on two hits over five innings for the Isotopes, walking one and tallying eight strikeouts.
